Stanton has been just as good, playing in 2 of the 3 games and going 4-9 with 2 homers and 4 RBIs. The Royals (39-29) were 4-3 before running into the Yankees this month. Bobby Witt has been doing all he can with 3 doubles and going 6-13 so far this series. Nestor Cortes (3-5, 3.68) will try to shake off his 5th loss which came in his last start. He allowed 4 earned on 7 hits against the Dodgers and was handed the loss. Alec Marsh (5-3, 4.05) will go for the Royals in hopes of avoiding the sweep. He picked up his 5th win in his last start despite not pitching great. He allowed 4 earned on 7 hits in just 5 innings of work. He did strikeout 8 batters while not allowing a walk.
