The Yankees have the second-best record in the American League, a solid 56-44, even more impressive considering they've spent much of the season without Judge. However, they're unlucky that the Rays are having a great season and are trailing them in the AL East race. Meanwhile, the White Sox are enjoying their first winning season in years and are currently leading the AL Central.

The Yankees had already won the series against the White Sox in the Bronx, but they also took the first game of the series on Monday at Rate Field by a score of 9-5. The Sox jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but the Yankees had a four-run fourth inning highlighted by Chisholm's RBI double. The Bahamian second baseman has certainly delivered clutch hits in the second half, as he added another RBI single in the eighth to extend the lead. Ben Rice, who is third in the AL MVP poll this year, went 2-for-4.

In the ninth, Aaron Boone didn't hold back; he brought in his closer, David Bednar, to restore order and earn his 21st save of the season. It was a 10-hit game per team, the first of the series on the South Side of Chicago.
