The Yankees, who covered a -1.5-run spread for the second straight time after beating the Red Sox 4-1 in Game 1, carry a potential profit of $155 per $100 bet if they beat the handicap again.

New York followed their 9-3 win over the Tigers on Thursday with a 4-1 win over their Red Sox. Luis Gil delivered a dominant performance, logging six scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Aaron Judge opened things up with a solo homer in the first inning to pass Joe DiMaggio on the Yankees’ all-time home run list.
The Red Sox have now lost two in a row, putting them in danger of falling out of their wildcard spot. Get me the Yankees to cover -1.5 runs again. New York has been terrific on the road in the past 3-4 weeks, winning 12 of their last 14 games away from Yankee Stadium. They are also 3-1 against the spread in their last four road games. Max Fried, who sports a 4-1 record with a 3.38 ERA in his last five starts, looks to replicate the form that helped him blank the Red Sox through six innings in a narrow 0-1 loss last August 22.
Boston will try to neutralize Fried by starting Bryan Bello, who is 5-0 with a 2.61 ERA in his last five starts. Bello hasn’t surrendered a run to the Yankees over the last 14 innings across two starts. However, the Red Sox starter’s form appears to have dropped a bit in his last two starts, where he conceded three earned runs each against the D-Backs and Guardians. The Red Sox would go on to win on both occasions, but Bello could be in a world of trouble if he allowed that many runs against the Yankees on Saturday.
