The Braves and Yankees recap their season. Atlanta had a disappointing first half, and to top it all off, injuries took their toll on their starting pitching staff. At least for the Braves, it took a while, but perhaps still in time. Acuña returned from the disabled list, as did Strider, and he'll be the one to start Game 1 against the Yankees in what the betting world will predict will be the closest game of the day.

It's not too late for the Braves to stage an epic comeback. In the words of their manager, they must "look at the positives," and one of them is that Strider recorded 11 strikeouts and 20 outs in his last start against the Athletics. The Braves, meanwhile, have won five of their last six games against the Yankees.

Yankees fans don't know how to feel about their team, which, amid a bumpy season, lost the division lead to the Blue Jays and, after a comeback series sweep of the Mariners, lost the final two games before the All-Star Game against the Cubs.
