Robert Stock had a solid outing for the visitors, pitching into the sixth inning to get his first win in the major leagues in seven years. The team will be keen to shock the host once again tonight.
Tampa Bay Rays, meanwhile, will want to bounce back from the defeat with bookmakers listing them as the -140 betting favorites. We don’t see Tampa Bay Rays losing back-to-back matches against the Mets. This could see the Yankees close the gap in the AL East with still much to play for this month. They’ve been very strong at home this season, going 46-24 while scoring an average of 4.54 runs per game. However, Freddy Paralta remains a big concern for the Rays in the bump. The right-hander has a 1-2 record and a 5.60 ERA since joining the Rays last month. The Rays will start Sean Manaea, who has slightly better numbers of 4-6 and 4.55 ERA. He has allowed four or more runs in his last three starts. Overall, we’re backing the Rays to win.
