The New York Mets will try to keep from getting swept today when they face the Padres at Petco Park in San Francisco, CA. Fans can catch the game on the MLB Network at 4:10 p.m. EST. New York had been on cruise control before heading to San Diego, winning seven in a row with sweeps of the Giants and Angels. But the Padres put an end to the streak on Monday with a 7-6 win and followed that with a more dominant victory yesterday, 7-1.

To help them get back on the right side of the scoreboard today, the Padres are turning to Yu Darvish to start the day. Darvish, however, has been struggling since his return from an injury. Since coming back, he has had four starts, three of which were losses, with a 9.18 ERA, 1.80 WHIP, and .309 OBA. In his two home starts, he went 0-1 with a 6.48 ERA. As for the Padres, Clayton Holmes is scheduled to start. Holmes is 9-5 with a 3.40 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and .239 OBA. He has pitched well at home, going 4-2 in ten starts with a 3.49 ERA and .203 OBA.
