After dropping three of four to the Marlins at home, the New York Mets will look to turn things back around as they start a ten-game road trip with a three-day stop in Detroit to face the Tigers. The action is scheduled to get started early at 1:10 p.m. EST. Fans can catch the game on the MLB Network.

Detroit is probably as happy to head home as the Mets are to be on the road. The Tigers went 2-4 on their recent six-game road trip that included getting swept by the A’s in Sacramento. They were, however, able to end on a high note with a 5-0 win over the Royals for the series win. Sean Manaea will get the nod from the Mets to start. Manaea has a 1-2 record in eight starts (9 appearances) with a 5.01 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and .242 OBA. He’s gone 0-2 on the road in three starts (four appearances) with a 5.29 ERA and a .254 OBA. Charlie Morton is scheduled to start for the Tigers. Since being acquired by the Tigers, Morton has gone 2-2 in five starts with a 4.61 ERA. He gave up just two runs in his last home start (Aug. 20, vs. Houston).
