Today will be the 7th game of the Mets’ 11-game road trip. They will have David Peterson (5-1, 3.47) on the mound. He is coming off a 6-inning outing against the Angels where he held them to 2 runs on 5 hits. Peterson has been consistent all season and will need to remain that way for the Mets to get the job done today. For the Rockies, they will start Austin Gomber (3-7, 4.66). Gomber went 7 innings against the Padres in his last outing. He struck out 6 while allowing 2 runs on 5 hits in the win.
