Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets Prediction & Picks - MLB

The NL East rivalry between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets will close another chapter when the series wraps up with game three this evening.

In game one, New York was powered by both Francisco Lindor and Brett Baty, who combined for 4 RBIs and a home run each. They chased starter Bryce Elder after 5 innings. He allowed 7 earned runs on 10 hits during his outing. Christian Scott of the Mets was not great and allowed 4 runs in just 4 innings of work and did not factor into the decision.

Game two was a different story. Martin Perez of the Braves went 6 innings of strong work. He held the Mets scoreless and scattered 4 hits. The bullpen came in and cleaned up the final 3 innings to secure the shutout victory for the Braves. Matt Olson went 1-3 with a home run and 2 RBIs to go with his 2 runs scored in the 4-0 victory.

Tonight, Tyler Mahle of the Braves will draw the start and look to continue his solid pitching from his last outing. He faced the Yankees and held them scoreless in his 6 innings while striking out 9 batters. Zac Thornton will go for the Mets on the other side and has been decent this season.
