Either or both the Braves and the Mets could advance to the postseason depending on the results of the two games. The Game 1 winner will get the first available wild card slot of the day while sweeping the double-header will create complications in the standings, clearing the way for the Arizona Diamondbacks to sneak in to grab the last wild card slot. So, it’s either both teams advance or one gets replaced by the bubble team – the Diamondbacks.
