New York really looked the part of a top team and didn’t have any problems against the Western also-rans when it went through the West Coast swing. The Knicks routed the Spurs when the teams met in the Garden, and even though rookie Victor Wembanyama has grown a lot since that game, he might be hitting a rookie wall.
Over his past seven games, Wembanyama has scored less than 20 points five times, a sign that he might be slowing down as the spring arrives. He’s not shooting as well as he did earlier this season, and his legs might be one of the reasons. If he doesn’t have enough left, the Knicks should handle the Spurs with ease.
