The New York Knicks will try to get back on the right side of the scoreboard tonight when they travel to the City of Brotherly Love to face the 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, and fans can watch the game on ESPN.
New York ended 2024 on a tear, winning their ninth game in a row on New Year’s Day. However, since then, they’ve struggled, losing five of their last seven games. This includes their last one, a home game vs. the Pistons on Monday (124-119). The problem? They have ended up in a number of shootouts lately, scoring over 107 points in four of their recent losses. It’s certainly surprising when you consider they are a grind-out, defense-oriented team.
But they may be in luck tonight since the 76ers will be without the services of three of their best players, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George. Philly’s offense will certainly suffer, which could make it easier for New York to slow down the pace and control tempo from the beginning of the game to the end.
New York will be without the services of Mithcell Robinson and Kevin McCullar Jr.
