Joel Embiid managed to score 34 points, along with 10 rebounds and 6 assists, despite dealing with a problematic knee that has flared up recently. Tyrese Maxey has also proved his worth and deserves the lion’s share of the credit for keeping Philadelphia in the game until the final minute. Maxey scored a game-high 35 points and was a rebound shy of a triple-double. 76ers fans will be hopeful the extra day off in between Game 2 and Game 3, provided for travel purposes, will give Embiid the rest he needs to come back strong. It appears Philadelphia will continue to lean on him and Maxey for the bulk of their offensive output.
