The New York Jets visit the Cincinnati Bengals, with the visitors showing the exact same problems they have for years despite the presence of new coach Aaron Glenn. Glenn hasn’t been able to get anything positive going, as New York has managed just 17 points in its past two games. The Jets’ defense has had no problems slowing teams down over the past two weeks, but the offense has been unable to get out of its own way.
The problem with betting on Jets games is that’s both been a reversal of the start of the season and could be a reflection of the last two contests. Against Denver, the game was played in London, resulting in typical struggles with weather and the time difference. Carolina’s offense hasn’t been anything special, so the Jets’ results could be getting skewed by recency bias.

The total is always within reach when Cincinnati takes the field, as the Bengals don’t have much on defense. Totals were harder to hit at the beginning of the season when Joe Burrow was on the field, but the lines haven’t really adjusted yet, and Joe Flacco proved last week that he’s still capable of getting the job done.
This reads a spot where people aren’t giving Cincinnati’s offense enough credit after how poor the Bengals looked following Burrow’s injury. Yes, doing it against Pittsburgh is easier than doing it against the Jets’ defense, but New York’s defense hasn’t been anywhere near as consistent as its overall results suggest.
