There's Major League Soccer due to take place at Yankee Stadium for the third weekend on the spin, with the NYCFC boys once again playing in front of a home crowd. On Sunday, they'll take on the team that lifted MLS Cup in 2025, but it is the hosts who arrive in the better form. Will the fact that they're currently the favorites help or hinder the hosts against a team that we really shouldn't be too quick to write off? 

At the end of the day, Javier Mascherano's men haven't exactly been in explosive form of late, but they've still not lost this season, so we shouldn't rush to start saying that they've dropped off. Frankly, they look far more capable of scoring goals on Sunday than the early odds suggest, having already scored six goals in two away games against DC United and Orlando City.

Our New York City vs Inter Miami Prediction

I'm not going to rush in and assume that Sunday's visitors are Yankee Stadium have lost their offensive touch. Sure, they've misfired a few times recently, but we have seen them score four goals on the road already this season, while let's be honest, the hosts have so far had an easy run. The early odds seem to be a slight overreaction to recent form and thus there's a chunk of value on offer. 

We should soon start to see Lionel Messi & Co. get back to scoring plenty of goals, even on the road, and I'm betting that they can start by scoring at least twice at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.
