Thursday Night Football sees two 1-1 AFC East teams lock horns, as the New York Jets host the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium. Despite low expectations coming into the season, the Pats could easily be 2-0, were it not for an agonizing OT defeat to the Seahawks on Sunday. Nevertheless, new HC Jerod Mayo will be pleased with how his inexperienced team have performed so far, victory over their fierce rivals on Thursday will go a long way towards conforming Mayo as a suitable successor to the legendary Bill Belichick. The Jets have also performed well in their opening two games. They battled hard but ultimately came up short in the opening day defeat to the Niners, but bounced back will with a battling win over the Titans. Veteran QB Aaron Rodgers still looks a little rusty after his year long injury, but is starting to show signs of returning to something near his best. If that happens, the Jets could be a big force in the AFC.
