Two Central Division strugglers clash in the NHL on Monday as the St. Louis Blues host the Nashville Predators at the Enterprise Center.
The two teams will meet up for the second time in five days, and the Blues are heading out for revenge after suffering a 7-2 thumping in Nashville last Thursday. The Predators had their best offensive outing of the season, with Steven Stamkos matching a franchise record by netting four goals.
Stamkos became the fifth active player to achieve multiple career four-goal games. However, this will only be a small consolation for him, as Stamkos’ move to Music City has not worked out well for him or the Predators. Following the four-goal night, Stamkos had another disappointing performance in Saturday’s 4-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, going scoreless and finishing with a minus-two rating.
The Blues rebounded well from the heavy defeat they suffered against Nashville, beating Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Friday. Jim Montgomery’s team will now attempt to win back-to-back games for only the fourth time this season.
It has been a very poor campaign for St. Louis, as the team has lacked quality on both ends of the ice. They rank 30th in goals scored and 29th in goals allowed, making them the only club to be in the bottom four of both categories.

Our Nashville Predators vs St. Louis Blues Prediction
Nashville easily picked apart St. Louis last week, and based on current form, they should have a good chance to do so again on Monday. The Predators are on a solid 4-2-0 run, with their victories including a 4-3 shootout win over the league-leading Colorado Avalanche.
The Blues have posted a 3-3-0 record over their last six games, marking one of their strongest stretches this season. However, continuing this run on Monday may be challenging after the team was dealt a fresh injury blow on Sunday -- Dylan Holloway, St. Louis' second-leading scorer, exited practice with a lower-body injury.
Our prediction for Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues: Predators to win.
