The players competing in the 2025 tennis season have gathered in Beijing to take part in the tournament in the Chinese capital! Among the many first-round matches on the schedule, France's Corentin Moutet and Holland's Tallon Griekspoor will face off for a place in the round of 16.
Corentin Moutet is having a great season! Ranked in the top 50 for the first time in his career in the 2025 season, the 26-year-old player enjoyed a string of successes this summer on the grass courts of the Mallorca tournament, reaching the final against Tallon Griekspoor. Stopped so close to the title with a score of 5-7, 6-7(3-7), the Frenchman will be looking to take his revenge on the Dutchman in this first round. Having beaten Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals in Washington this summer, Moutet seems to have what it takes to defeat his opponent this time around.
Tallon Griekspoor won his first round here last season, eliminating Miomir Kecmanovic in a three-set duel before being eliminated by the future winner, Carlos Alcaraz. But this year, the 29-year-old is in serious trouble, having lost six consecutive matches and not really shone since his Spanish title.
