The Montreal Canadiens will wrap up a three-game road trip on Wednesday against the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre.
The Canadiens' form has been good in 2026, and they have also enjoyed their recent road outings. Martin St. Louis’ team started the current trip with a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres and also picked up a point on Monday night in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild.
Overall, Montreal has gone 5-2-1 over the last eight games and will enter the Olympic break on a high. Beating the Jets would give the team additional momentum.
The Jets have a 3-3-2 record across their last eight outings. Last month, the team put together a four-game winning streak, but it has been a struggle for Winnipeg in recent games. Head coach Scott Arniel must find a way to reignite the Jets’ offense. They have scored two or fewer goals five times in the last eight games.
Winnipeg’s struggles on offense also cost them in their first meeting with Montreal this season. Even though they led twice, Arniel’s team lost 3-2 in a shootout at Bell Centre on Dec. 3.
