Week one of the NFL season closes with the now traditional Monday Night Football game between the Bears and the Vikings at Soldier Field.
Last season, the Bears finished last in the NFC North with just five wins and 12 losses, giving them a 29 percent success rate. It should be noted that they did not even come close to qualifying for the postseason.
Meanwhile, the Vikings rose to the top, finishing second in the NFC North division with 14 wins and three losses, giving them an 82 percent success rate. However, they were eliminated in the wild card round by the Rams with a score of 27 to 9.

Our Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings Prediction
Our first Monday night game of the season features a fierce division rivalry with two teams who had very different seasons last year. The Bears were one of the worst teams in the league, despite the big promises from a Caleb Williams signing. They'll be looking to get started on the right foot this season, albeit against a stronger side in the Vikings.
The Vikings had a great 2024-25 season, losing only to the Rams in the postseason. Sam Darnold surprised everyone and made the Vikings one of the top teams in the NFC during their last campaign. This season, Darnold has moved on to the Seahawks, but the Vikings have kept several key players and replaced Darnold with 10th-round draft pick and promising prospect J.J. McCarthy from the Wolverines.
We're expecting a shootout between these two promising young QBs, but the Bears to ultimately suffer from the same issues that plagued them last season.
