After an unusual day off in the middle of a series, the Rangers and Twins will play the series finale in Texas. June hasn't been a spectacular month for the Twins, but it has been a positive one, and having strung together three straight wins, they have reason to believe they can climb in their division, especially given their home run prowess.

The Twins defeated the Rangers 4-2 in the series opener; it was a six-run game, all of which came via home runs. For the Rangers, Pederson hit his ninth home run of the season that day. However, the Twins have one of the hottest hitters in all of MLB in their lineup: Byron Buxton. The center fielder has six home runs in his last 10 games. Only Alvarez and Schwarber have hit more home runs in all of MLB.

Minnesota also won the following game, this time 12-2, exploiting the Rangers' ace, Rocker, allowing 7 hits and 6 ER. By the fourth inning, Rocker had already opened the game completely with a 5-run inning. Minnesota tallied 17 hits on Tuesday; every starter had at least one, and Clemens hit his 11th home run of the season.
