The Minnesota Twin (69-53) will look to take their 3rd straight game in their 4-game series with the Texas Rangers (56-67) on Saturday night. The Rangers have lost 8 of their last 10 and seem to be spiraling. On the other side, the Twins are 10-5 through the middle of August. In game one, the game remained tied at 2-2 after the 2nd and into the top of the 9th. There, Carlos Santana hit a sacrifice fly that ended up being the winning run. Jhoan Duran got the save by pitching the 9th and striking out 2. In game two, it was Carlos Santana to the rescue once again. Tied at 1-1 in the 5th, Santana launched a 3-run homer that was the difference in the game The Twins bullpen pitched 4 innings and allowed just 1 run on 5 hits and struck out 7 batters. Tonight, David Festa (2-2, 5.20) will go for the Twins in their effort to make it three in a row. For the Rangers, Nathan Eovaldi (8-6, 3.75) will be tasked with getting the Rangers back on track. Festa only went 3.1 in his last start. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits against the Guardians. Eovaldi also failed to make it 4 innings in his last start which came against the Yankees. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits and took the loss.
