The Rays continue their early pursuit of the Yankees in the AL East. The Tampa Bay Rays have won their last two games and are now 6-4; they defeated the Reds 6-1 in the series finale and took the first game of their series against the Twins 6-2. They will face the Twins on Saturday afternoon at Tropicana Field, with Shane McClanahan starting for the Rays and Bailey Ober for the Twins.
It will be intriguing to see Ober's strategy against one of the hottest players in MLB, Junior Caminero. The electric young Dominican hit two home runs in the first game of the series; one even sailed over the Batter Eye. Caminero, with his compact swing and on-field presence, looks like the kind of player who could revitalize an entire franchise.
The Rays' top four hitters this season are working, putting pressure on opposing pitchers, and the first four in the lineup on Saturday will be Simpson, Caminero, Aranda, and Díaz.

Shane McClanahan is coming off his first win of the season. Although he allowed eight hits in his last start at PNC Park against the Pirates, he has been consistent in that he has pitched at least four innings in all of his 2016 starts, but has never gone beyond six.
As for the Twins, Taj Bradley started on Friday, bringing one of the best numbers of any starter to the game, but the Rays' offense took full advantage, along with Cainero's two home runs; Aranda added another two. Ober could have the same luck.
