Kansas City Royals vs Minnesota Twins Prediction & Picks - MLB

The Minnesota Twins will try to get their season turned around today when they face the Royals in Kansas City in Game Three of a four-game series. First pitch at Kauffman Stadium is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. EST.

For the Twins, the struggle has been really this season, and the 2-1 loss to the Royals yesterday is a perfect example, as the team committed three errors on the day, giving them seven for the season. They have one of the lowest batting averages as a team in the league (.201). With seven yesterday, it was one of their better days when it comes to making contact, but they also struck out 12 times. Minnesota held the Royals to just three hits and one earned run; the winning run in the sixth got on base due to a throwing error.

The Twins will turn to Joe Ryan today on the mound. Ryan went five innings in both of his starts, giving up five hits in each and no walks, but one run vs. the Cardinals (ND) and four vs. the Astros (L).  Kansas City will give the ball to Seth Lugo to start the game. Lugo got his first win of the season in his last start (six innings, five hits, two runs (one earned), and two strikeouts with only one walk).
