The Detroit Tigers (28-40, 17-16 Home) will try to stay above .500 at home today when they host the Minnesota Twins (31-38, 13-20 Away) in the finale of a three-game series at Comerica Park. First Pitch for this contest is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. EST with coverage provided by MLB.TV.

Detroit won Game 1 of the series on Monday, 10-4, a game that featured four home runs by both teams. Yesterday, they fell behind early when the Twins got on board with a run in the top of the second, but were never able to pull ahead, losing 6-4 in the end.

Keider Montero is scheduled to be the starting pitcher for the Tigers. Montero is 2-4 in 12 starts with a 3.95 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP. In eight starts at home, he has gone 2-3 with a 4.26 ERA and a .232 OBA. His last start came at home last Saturday. He took the loss after going five innings and giving up six hits and four earned runs in a 4-0 defeat.

The Twins will hand the ball to Zebby Matthews to start the day. Matthews has gone 2-3 in five starts with a 4.15 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP.
