New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx carried their regular season form to the WNBA playoffs after beating stiff competition to book a date in the Finals. On Friday, they will play Game 1 of this best-of-five series at the Barclays Center. The Liberty couldn’t be closer to securing their first-ever Championship title after bagging a convincing 3-1 victory over the Aces in the semis. Minnesota Lynx, on the other hand, had to dig deep to ward off a late push from Connecticut Sun to win Game 5 88-77. The franchise will be motivated to add their fifth Championship to their decorated trophy cabinet. Impressively, they have won all four titles since 2011. No other side has won more than two championships since then.
