New York Liberty (31-6) will host Minnesota Lynx (28-9) on Sunday in an all-important clash between the WNBA’s two top teams. The Liberty have all but secured their No. 1 seed, sitting top of the Eastern Conference with 4.0 games ahead of the Sun. They clipped the lifeless Wings on Thursday to boost their chances of getting the homecourt advantage throughout the series. As it stands, the Liberty only needs one win for that to become a reality. As for Minnesota, the race for the No. 2 seed is still alive, making this a do-or-die clash for them. They also have a tiebreaker with Connecticut on September 17.
