The Lynx and the Valkyries face off in their first Commissioner's Cup game this season. The Lynx have been undefeated so far. They carved out a 74-71 victory over the Phoenix Mercury, even without their star player Napheesa Collier.
Collier, who is averaging 26.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists this season, is currently nursing a knee injury. She's listed as questionable in the Lynx's injury report, although Kayla McBride's return has been a welcome sight. In two games so far, McBride is producing 17.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals.
The Valkyries are no easy opponents, though. Despite being a newcomer, they've won big games against the Washington Mystics and Los Angeles Sparks. They also pushed the defending champions New York Liberty to a close fight before losing, 82-77.
