The Minnesota Timberwolves takes on the Milwaukee Bucks to kickstart their two-game homestand at Target Center on Wednesday. Anthony Edwards fired 44 points but it was still not enough to outgun the high-powered Cleveland Cavaliers, 107-128, on Monday. Minnesota shot 40 percent from the field with Edwards the only Wolves player to score over 20 points. The Cavs, meanwhile, had weapons everywhere on the floor, torching the Wolves with a 50 percent clip from the field. With Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined with injuries, the Bucks didn’t have the finishing kick to outslug the Golden State Warriors, 111-125, on Monday. Damian Lillard carried the Bucks all night with 38 points, while trade deadline acquisition Kyle Kuzma added 21 points for Milwaukee, who dropped to 28-24.
