If the Cardinals continue playing like this, they'll soon overcome the attendance problems they had last season. These reinvented 2026 Cardinals are entertaining, and before losing the final game of the series against the Dodgers, they had won the first two, extending their winning streak to six games, including a sweep of the Pirates at PNC Park.
Incredibly, none of the five teams in the NL Central have a losing record, and two of them are facing off this coming week when the Cardinals host the Brewers at Busch Stadium.
As for St. Louis, there are a couple of bats the Brewers' pitching staff should be wary of, but none more so than Jordan Walker. He made headlines again on May 1st when he went 4-for-4. The St. Louis right fielder is finally meeting the high expectations the organization has for him in his fourth season with the team. So far, he's batting .315, driving in 27 runs, and hitting 10 home runs in 124 at-bats.

These Brewers will field a lineup on Monday that will definitely be without Yelich, who is on the 10 Day IL with a groin injury, and second baseman Bryce Turang is also questionable due to illness. The Brewers didn't hit particularly well in the series in D.C., which they won 2-1, and their pitching was solid.
