After Monday's bye, the Brewers and Pirates return to action on Tuesday. If Milwaukee wins and the Cubs lose, the Brewers-Crew will clinch another NL Central title. The Pirates, with a 75-75 record, have recently improved, winning seven of their last ten games, but their wild-card hopes remain slim.

The odds for Tuesday's game have the Brewers as heavy favorites at -225. The main reason for this is that they will be starting this year's Cy Young Award frontrunner, Jacob Misiorowski, who has thrown virtually every pitch ever thrown by a starting pitcher, boasts a 14-5 record, and a 1.95 ERA. Misiorowski became the only pitcher in Statcast-era history to throw more than 1,000 pitches at 100 mph or more.

On Sunday, the Pirates salvaged the final game of their series against the Cubs in Chicago, winning 4-3 in a game where Reynolds went 2-for-4 and Lowe drove in two runs as a pinch hitter. The Brewers lost that day by the same score to the Reds, in a game where, however, Ortiz and Bauers both homered.
