In June, the Twins lost steam and actually only won one series that month, the one against the Athletics. They then lost series against the Blue Jays and Rangers, were swept by the Astros, and then lost a series against the Reds, so their record is now 37-38. The Brewers took advantage of the Twins' momentum to win the first series at Target Field in a 17-6 rout.

Although the score was 17-6, they were only 1-0 before the fifth inning. However, in the Brewers' third at-bat, they made the adjustment, and the first three Brewers at bat, Frelick, Chourio, and Yelich, went 9-for-14. The Brewers had a 19-hit day, and surprisingly, none of them were home runs. On the pitching side, they got another nice surprise from young Jacob Misiorowski, who sailed six perfect innings before allowing Wallner's home run.

The Brewers then have the same record as the Cardinals, 4.5 games, and both teams refuse to let the Cubs, who are currently 45-30 in 2025, get away with it any longer.
