Milwaukee will start their West Coast road trip with an early-week series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday. The Brewers will be looking to newcomer Carlos Rodriguez again for a strong start in the pitching department. Rodriguez made his MLB debut last week wearing the double-zero number, becoming the 3rd player to ever do so. Unfortunately, that was also the scoreline for his team as he picked up the loss in 3-0 shutout. Rodriguez showed some poise and ability, however, throwing 4 strikeouts. The key issue was getting behind in the count, as the Nicaraguan-born Rodriguez threw 71 pitches in less than four innings of work, forcing an early exit. He will be juxtaposed by the Angels’ Jose Siriano, another youngster that has shown promise at the MLB level.
