The wild card here is Miley, who is making his first MLB start in 2024 after completing a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville. Miley closed out last season very well, not allowing more than three runs in six of his final seven starts (and giving up four in the one exception). However, he's expected to have a short leash, and the Brewers' bullpen isn't the greatest.
Hunter Greene has pitched this year and looked pretty good in doing so. His team has lost both games, but through no fault of his, as he gave up a combined three earned runs in 10.2 innings of work. The Reds' bullpen simply hasn't done the job, giving up seven runs after Greene left the game. With both teams' bullpens having problems and the wind providing little deterrent, expecting offense seems like the right idea at this low total.
