He will now start the first game of the heated series against the Brewers at Truist Park. Milwaukee is one of the league's best road teams with a 20-12 record, but Atlanta boasts a 22-13 record at home.
The Brewers won their last two series, against the Phillies and then the Guardians in Milwaukee, but they fell short of completing a sweep against Cleveland, losing the final game 4-2. With the bases loaded in the seventh, the Brew Crew had a chance to come back with Vaughn at the plate, but he grounded out to end the inning.
However, the pitcher with the most wins this season will be on the mound against the Braves: the young Jacob Misiorowski, who is coming off one of the best outings of his career. He pitched his first shutout, nine innings of pure dominance that included 15 strikeouts and no walks.

The Phillies struggled against Misiorowski; He himself says he would rather not be known just for throwing the hardest, but rather for being the best pitcher and everything that entails. The Braves will face him without Acuña and Harris in the lineup, both out with injuries.
