The Giants need to take every game in this new series against the Marlins if they still have playoff hopes, as they will face a tough schedule in September to finish the season, where every team they face except the Cardinals is playing baseball above .500. The Giants have fared quite well at Oracle Park, there they have a 38-28 record. Despite the good performance at home, the Giants have not swept a team at home since the Rockies in July.

They are well positioned to win the first game at home, as Snell will be pitching, with a 2-3 record and 3.76 ERA. Snell, however, was not at all sharp the last time he faced the Mariners, there he left the game quickly when he threw 6 BBs, throwing only 74 pitches.

Of course the Giants manager will want his team to pick up offensively for the last month, thanks to the pitching they have kept in the fight, perhaps with the help of Ramos, who is the only Giant who has been on fire recently.
