The Miami Marlins (11-32) will try to bounce back against the 21-20 Detroit Tigers after they lost yesterday in what was a wild 8th inning. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd, the Tigers found themselves after the 5th. In the 8th, Otto Lopez of the Marlins hit his 2nd homer of the season to give the Marlins a 5-3 lead. However, it did not remain that way for long as the Tigers used an Andy Ibanez RBI single followed by a Spencer Torkelson 2 run homer to take the 6-5 lead heading into the final frame. Jason Foley came in for the Tigers and closed things out in the 9th by striking out 2 and getting Bryan De La Cruz to ground out to end the game. Ryan Weathers (2-4, 4.54) will get the go for the Marlins. He took a loss in his last outing when he allowed 3 runs to the Dodgers last Wednesday. The Tigers will have Reese Olson (0-4, 2.52) who will be in search of his 1st win of the season. He has had little run support in his starts which is what has caused him to go winless to this point. He has pitched 23 innings over his last 4 starts and allowed just 4 total earned runs during that stretch.
