The Miami Dolphins visit the Atlanta Falcons looking to recover from getting embarrassed at Cleveland. The Dolphins weren’t competitive in the slightest against the Browns, and that’s the first time since Week 1 anyone has been able to say that about Miami.
The Dolphins’ biggest problem has been that they cannot rely on the defense at all. When Miami is able to score, it gives itself a chance to win. When the Dolphins aren’t moving the ball, things get ugly in a hurry. At no point has Miami held an opponent to under 21 points in 2025, even against the terrible New York Jets offense. If the Fish can’t stop the Jets, the Falcons have to be salivating at their chances for a big day on offense.

The fact that Cleveland cashed the over on its own last week says that Miami is allowing opponents to do whatever they want with the ball. And with Atlanta featuring Bijan Robinson in the backfield, that’s a dream matchup for the hosts. The Falcons rank fourth in the NFL in moving the football on the ground, while the Dolphins are dead last in stopping the run.
Atlanta has plenty of ways to hurt its opponents; its problems have been both week-to-week consistency and playing away from home. Given that they’re coming off a meek showing against the 49ers last week, neither of those are likely to be problems this time around. The Falcons tend not to play two poor games in a row, and they have the right opponent in the right location. Our prediction for Miami vs. Atlanta is Falcons -6.5.
