Mexico and Belgium meet in Chicago this Tuesday for their last international fixture for a little while. One bet that particularly stands out is Both Teams to Score at the available odds.
Mexico’s 4-0 high was over quickly as they failed to really show much quality last time out against a big country, Portugal (ranked 5th in FIFA rankings), a very relevant side to their next opposition (9th). In this game, they really sat off the ball and succeeded in keeping the Portuguese out, which was sure to frustrate them.
This means that Mexico have now gone four games without conceding a single goal. It’s very likely that they’ll aim to do something along the same lines against a similar side. El Tricolor aren’t the only side that have been doing well defensively - the Belgians have also been doing well in giving away a very limited number of goal opportunities in lots of their recent games, which makes a relative lack of goals stand out in the betting ahead of this game.

Our Mexico vs Belgium Prediction
The Mexicans sure do know how to break the flow of the game up, and last time out, they got just what they wanted, keeping a clean sheet up against a strong Portugal side. Seeing Belgium’s relentless streak, it’s highly likely that Mexico will hope to adapt a similar approach and sit back, which is tricky for any team to break down.
Seven goals were scored in Belgium’s last friendly against the USA, but this is a team with a very different approach. It’s hard to see them find as much space as they did against the US. What’s more, in contrast to scoring against teams of lesser quality, when Mexico have been confronted with better nations they have failed to locate the net.
Our Mexico vs Belgium Pick: Both Teams to Score - No.
