This Saturday, the seventh day of Ligue 1 kicks off with this match between FC Metz and Olympique de Marseille at Stade Saint-Symphorien. These two teams are not in the same form. Back in the top flight of French soccer at the start of the season, Metz is already in serious trouble. Les Grenats have only picked up two points so far. They are the only team yet to win a league game and are stuck at the bottom of the table.
In recent weeks, everything has been going well for Marseille. Since the end of the summer transfer window, OM has been able to focus fully on the sporting side of things. As a result, it has had a perfect September in Ligue 1, with three wins in as many games. Roberto De Zerbi's men have climbed to third place in the standings. Having made a strong impression in the Champions League by crushing Ajax Amsterdam (4-0), the Marseille team will not want to take its foot off the gas in Moselle.
