The San Antonio Spurs will be seeking for some vindication on Friday when they play the Memphis Grizzlies for the second time in three days at Frost Bank Center. The Spurs fell to .500 at 19-20 after taking 115-129 loss to the Grizzlies last January 15. Victor Wembanyama struggled from the field in his first match-up with fellow 7-foot-4 Zach Eddey, shooting 5 for 19 from the field to finish with 13 points. Still, the Spurs star still put up solid numbers on the defensive end as he racked up 12 boards and swatted 8 blocks. Stephon Castle led his team in scoring with 26 points while Devin Vassell added 21. The Grizzlies won their first game of the season against the Spurs behind a balanced offensive attack led by their backcourt duo of Desmond Bane and Ja Morant, who both scored 21 points. Jaren Jackson Jr. put up 19 points and Santi Aldama chipped in 20 points and 10 boards off the bench for Memphis, who improved to 26-15.
