The New York Knicks (6-3) will try to win their 7th straight home game when they face the visiting Memphis Grizzlies (4-7). It has been a bit streaky for the Knick in this early portion of the season. After winning both games to open their season, they then fell in 3 straight games to wrap up October. Since, they have won 4 straight games and have outscore their opponents by an average of 23 points. Brunson and Towns are both averaging over 20 points per game while Anunoby and Bridges have been putting up over 15 per game. This Knicks team is ranking inside the top 10 in most major statistical categories including points allowed per game, points scored per game, and 3-point percentage. For the Grizzlies, the same can not be said. They are in the bottom 3rd of the league in those same 3 categories, which makes sense that their record is 3 games below .500. Ja Morant, the team’s franchise player, has been extremely disgruntled and could potentially be pushing his way out of the franchise. The disfunction has led to the Grizzlies losing 5 of their last 6 games. That, combined with the Knicks playing some of the best basketball currently in the league, and we have a recipe for what could be another blowout at Madison Square Garden. We like Jalen Brunson to use Morant’s frustration against him and the Grizzlies to get the cover here at home.
