The Memphis Grizzlies will try to end a four-game slide on Friday as they take on the injury-plagued Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center. The Grizzlies are losers of their last four games, having gone through a series of heartbreaks against the New York Knicks 113-114, San Antonio Spurs 128-130 and the Atlanta Hawks 132-130 before they got decimated by the No.1 team in the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder, 103-120, on March 5. No longer dealing with any injuries, Ja Morant has put up strong numbers in his last seven games, during which he averages 22.9 points and 6.9 assists. The implosion of the Mavericks appears to have begun the moment they traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. Over the span of three weeks, the Mavs have lost their key players one by one, starting off with Daniel Gafford (knee sprain) and then Anthony Davis joined the pile of injuries after sustaining a groin injury in his Mavs debut. Worse, Kyrie Irving is now out of the season with an ACL injury, putting the Mavs in danger of missing the playoffs a year after reaching the finals.
