Melissa Mullins (7-1-0) and Daria Zhelezniakova (9-2-0) will hit the Octagon next Saturday at UFC Fight Night in Baku, Azerbaijan. Melissa "No Mess" Mullins will be fighting for a win to stamp her authority in the UFC since making her debut in October 2023. The 33-year-old English fighter recovered from her upset loss against Nora Cornolle with a KO/TKO win against Klaudia Sygula in November last year. She dominated her opponent, showing off the first legal 12-6 elbows in the Octagon. Melissa is definitely a great signing by the franchise.
Daria "Iron Lady" Zhelezniakova is also a new name in the UFC with much to prove to the fanbase. The Russian made her UFC debut in March 2024, defeating Montserrat Rendon in the third round via decision. However, she suffered a setback loss in September last year, submitting to Ailin Perez in the first round. She'll be eager to get on from that and prove to her UFC fans that she can take on the best in the women's bantamweight division.
