The FIFA Club World Cup is now underway in the US, and so far, it's been a mixed bag, with Inter Miami and Al Ahly kicking off the tournament with a 0-0 draw, before Bayern trounced New Zealanders Auckland City by ten goals to zero. On Thursday, during the early afternoon, we'll see Manchester City get their first taste of this revamped tournament, with Pep Guardiola's men due to take on Moroccan outfit Wydad.
The Citizens are among those teams expected to do very well at the Club World Cup, but after a long and largely frustrating domestic season, it will be interesting to see how seriously they take this competition. On the other hand, this is a huge occasion for the Moroccans, who will likely be going all out to avoid any embarrassing defeats. An interesting game awaits at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.

After all, for Guardiola's men, this tournament comes off the back of a long season, while their opponents are going to sit deep and defend for the most part. We recently saw Wydad limit both FC Porto and Sevilla to just one goal, while it's not as if Man City ended the Premier League season by going crazy in terms of goals.
