It's crunch time for Man City and Pep Guardiola on Wednesday. If the Citizens want to progress to the knockouts as one of the top eight and thus secure a Round of 16 spot without the need for a playoff, then now is the time to deliver a top performance. It's no secret that Guardiola's men have struggled at times this season, doing so last week in this competition, losing away to Bodo/Glimt. Fortunately, their final league-phase game is a rather winnable one in front of a home crowd. If they win, they'll have a strong chance of sneaking into the top eight, but if anything less than victory for the hosts and it'll be the playoffs.
For City's opponents, a top-eight finish seems highly unlikely. Even if they win at Etihad Stadium, which also seems unlikely, the men from the Turkish capital will likely fall short of the top eight. However, there is a very strong chance that the Galatasaray boys will make the playoffs, even if this lose this game, and that knowledge should allow them to play with freedom in Manchester.

I'm a little surprised that 'Both Teams to Score' isn't priced less leniently here. Odds of -125 do not accurately reflect the chances of both teams notching in this game, so there's value on offer. After that loss last week, we know that the hosts are going to come on strong at home, and let's be real, they have more than enough offensive quality to seriously hurt a Galatasaray team that doesn't really specialize in clean sheets.
At the same time, though, we've seen the Citizens be caught out on the break time and time again this season, so a visiting team packed with counter-offensive pace and power should feel confident of doing some damage, much as they recently did against Atletico Madrid.
