After their first defeat of the season midweek against Paris Saint German, Manchester City returned to winning ways in the Premier League by beating Ipswich Town 3-2. The Blues now return to UEFA Champions League action with a home match against Greek side AEK Athens. City have won all seven of their EPL games and have a UCL record of one win and one loss. AEK have the same Champions League record, beating LASK at home followed by defeat to Shakhtar Donesk last time out.
Énosi are unbeaten in Super League Greece, winning four and drawing two of their six league games so far. Of their last six, AEK have won four, drawn one and lost one. As for City, they've won five of their last six, with their only blip that defeat to PSG. Two teams in good form and another similarity is the sheer number of goals both sides have scored. In City's last six, they've scored 19 goals, AEK have scored 16 across the same number of games. We think this game will bring us goals too.
