Italian side Bologna need a big Europa League Matchday Eight victory at Maccabi Tel Aviv if they are to have any chance of securing a top eight finish and an automatic spot in the last 16 of the competition.
The good news for Bologna is that their opponents are rock bottom of the table after a miserable campaign that has seen them pick up just one point from their opening seven fixtures. Maccabi's domestic form has been well below par this year, as back to back defests have seen them drop to third in the Israeli Premier League.
Bologna's form has been poor in recent weeks, with last weekend's defeat in Genoa meaning that they have won just one of their last nine games in all competitions. Despite that, the Italians can still reach the top eight of the Europa League standings if they pick up three points in Israel and other results go their way.
