Two of the Europa League's most in-form sides meet on Matchday Eight, as table topping Lyon host top eight chasing PAOK at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
Lyon have been in blistering form over the last two months, winning seven games in a row, including a 2-5 thumping of Metz in their last Ligue 1 fixture. They have also won six of their seven Europa League fixtures, a record that puts them ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference at the top of the league table.
PAOK have also been on a tear in recent weeks. The 2-0 Europa League victory over Betis last week was their seventh win in a row in all competitions. However, due to a slow start in Europe, the Greek side are still two points off the Europa League top eight, meaning they require a big win on Thursday, plus help elsewhere, if they are to avoid the playoff round.
