With the No.3 seed in the West already secured, the Los Angeles Lakers will try to finish their regular-season campaign strong as they host the Portland Trail Blazers at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday.
The Lakers gained home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs after blasting the heavily undermanned Houston Rockets on Friday, 140-109. Luka Doncic busted out another impressive all-around game with 39 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the Lakers, who faces the possibility of playing the first few games of the playoffs without LeBron James because of a groin injury.
The Trail Blazers will try to close out a season full of promise on a high note after losing three of their last four games. The Blazers will miss the playoffs but they are in position to return to relevancy next year with Anfernee Simmons, Deni Avdija and other young players on the roster showing promise in some of their games this season.
